Responsibilities Ensure all work is compliant with infection and infectious diseases control standards; office policies and procedures; and safety, OSHA, and MSDS guidelines Coordinate and perform preventive dental care treatments such as sealants, x-rays, flossing, fillings, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated Seek consultation with dental specialists, such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, or periodontists when appropriate Supervise dental assistants, dental hygienists, associate dentists, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans Show patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as retainers and dentures and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene Qualifications Must be comfortable with general dentist procedures- restorative, crowns, and bridgework, removable dentures, anterior and molar endodontic procedures, and simple and surgical extractions Good bedside manner Ability to work in a team environment North Carolina Dental License Computer proficiency is desired Possess strong bedside manner, and great communication skills Current and unrestricted state license in good standing Requires CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications Two years of dentistry experience in clinical or private practice is required Recommended Skills Administration Basic Life Support Cpr Clinical Works Communication Consulting Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
